Our Story
Craft Your Perfect Bowl
of Comfort
At Felix's Hong Kong Rice Noodle, we are passionate about introducing the rich traditions of Mi Xian, or rice noodles, to our community here in East Victoria Park.
Originating centuries ago in the Yunnan region of China, rice noodles have since become a staple throughout Asia, with each region adding its unique twist. In Hong Kong, Mi Xian is beloved for its comforting texture and adaptability, traditionally served in a fragrant, warming broth that captures the essence of local ingredients and flavours.
Our goal is to offer an authentic experience with a modern twist. Every bowl at Felix’s is crafted to order, allowing guests to personalise their meal with a variety of flavourful soup bases, from aromatic herbal broths to spicy, Sichuan-inspired concoctions. We believe that a good bowl of Mi Xian is more than just a meal—it’s a journey back to the roots of Asian culinary heritage and a way to celebrate the diversity and warmth of the cuisine.
Rice noodles have a long history, dating back over a thousand years. The Mi Xian style of rice noodles is thought to have originated in Yunnan, a province known for its rice farming and traditional noodle-making techniques. From its humble beginnings as a regional specialty, Mi Xian evolved as people migrated, adapting the dish as it reached new cities and countries. Mi Xian became a popular street food and comfort dish, celebrated for its versatility and ability to pair with different flavours.
Today, Mi Xian remains a beloved choice in many Asian communities, symbolising comfort, heritage, and the adaptability of Asian cuisine. At Felix’s, we are honoured to bring this cherished tradition to your table, connecting you with the history one bowl at a time.
Whether you're new to rice noodles or have enjoyed them for years, Felix’s invites you to taste the richness of this classic, served with passion and a commitment to authenticity.
